Calatheas are very attractive houseplants with exquisite patterned leaves. During the day Calathea Makoyana displays it's exotic looking lance-shaped pale green foliage in all its glory and then once the sun goes down it draws up it's leaves displaying its beautiful burgundy- brown undersides.
LIGHT: Position in a bright location out of full sun as too much sun will burn the leaves, also grows well in partial shade. Avoid draughts as this can cause the leaves to curl.
WATER: Allow the surface of the soil to dry out slightly between each watering.
SIZE: comes in 12 cm diameter nursery pot, 30 cm high
