Air-Purifying Indoor Plants
Houseplants do wonders for a house: they breathe new life to a room, add a bright spots of colour, and purify the air. As it turns out, some of them are more effective than others at filtering out toxic chemicals in the air. NASA conducted a Clean Air Study to identify the best air-filtering indoor plants, to help guide us in our purchasing decisions. Even better, Love The Garden created an infographic that lists 18 NASA-recommended plants for improving air quality as well as the common toxins that each plant can treat.
For optimal air-filtering, NASA recommends placing at least one plant per 100 square feet / 9.3 square feet of home or office space. It might sound like a lot of plants, but we put together an amazing Air-Purifying Jungle Bundle to give you a great start! Please see here.
